Dr. Xiwei Huang is currently an Associate Professor at Hangzhou Dianzi University (HDU), China. He obtained the B.Eng. degree in Information Engineering from Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT), China in 2009, and the PhD degree in Electronic Engineering at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore in 2015. From February 2011 to January 2014, he also worked as a joint PhD candidate at Integrated Circuits and Systems Lab of Institute of Microeconomics, Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), Singapore. His primary research interest is CMOS multimodal sensor and microfluidic on-chip imaging system for point-of-care biomedical diagnostics. He has over 30 journal publications, over 20 conference publications, 2 book chapters, 1 book, 2 patents, and one ISSCC SRP award. He is a recipient of the Provincial Young and Middle-aged Academic Leader Award (2017), and Provincial Qianjiang Talent Award (2018). He is an IEEE member in SSCS and CAS Society. He is also a vice secretary of the EDS Hangzhou Chapter. He has served as a guest editor for the special issue in Sensors and IEEE Journal of Biomedical and Health Informatics, as well as reviewer for many prestigious journals and conferences.
