Kai Yun joined SMART-Biosym/CAMP IRG in November 2018 as a research engineer, under Dr. Kerwin Kwek, in Prof Jongyoon Han’s Group.

She received a B.S. in Bioengineering from the Department of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in 2016.

Before joining SMART, she worked as a research officer in the Singapore General Hospital (SGH) Academia Neurology Department in 2016.

Currently, she is working with Dr. Kerwin Kwek and his team in the development of microfluidic devices for whole-blood immune profiling using label-free biophysical markers that investigate distinct immune response signatures. Besides, she works in the SGH Academia Pharmacy laboratory as well as the National University Hospital (NUH) emergency ward as a collaborator. In addition, she assists in the investigation of biochemical critical quality attributes for CAR-T immune therapy with precise single-cell microfluidic technologies.
